DESIGN PROCESS
Consultation
The first stage involves our initial meeting to discuss your needs, ideas, styles, budget and timeline. From there I will follow up with a proposal for my services including scope of project and schedule.
Conceptual Design
After the contract is signed I will start working away on developing concepts. This stage will include some or all of the below activities; Initial Space Planning, Color Schemes, Concept Images, Material Selections, and Mood Boards.
Design Documentation + Specifications
Once the concept and space plan is approved, Layered Design Concepts will complete interior architectural drawings and specifications. This stage may also include some or all the below activities; Space Planning, Budgeting, Fixture & Material Selections, Architectural Detailing, Custom Built-In Design, Construction Drawings, Schedules & Specifications.
Furnishings + Decor Stage
This stage, if included with contract is where Layered Design Concepts will select furniture + decor and prepare a furniture plan + mood board for client's approval before purchasing can begin. I will provide you with material samples as needed, price lists and any other purchasing details.
Construction Administration
This component is an essential ingredient to verify the project is completed on time and is a success. Layered Design Concepts will handle the following activities to ensure our design intent is accomplished; Communication with Contractor and Installers, Attending Site Meetings, Custom Work Orders, Reviewing Shop Drawings and Quotes, and Approving Samples.
Installation + Final Design
Layered Design Concepts will be by your side as needed. I will coordinate furniture delivery, movers, accessorizing, etc. if included in scope of work.
