Founder & Principal Designer
Founded in 2018,
Layered Design Concepts was born from a desire to carve out my own creative path after years of collaborating with talented designers and architects across New York, North Carolina, and Colorado.
With over 19 years of experience, I’ve built a deep well of technical knowledge and the confidence to guide clients through thoughtful, personalized design journeys. I’m known for being a strong communicator and an attentive listener.
Every project begins by understanding my clients ideas and aspirations before offering my own.
To me, design is storytelling
through texture, pattern, color and materials creating spaces that feel timeless and deeply personal. I love blending old and new, and I firmly believe great design can be achieved on any budget through creative planning, resourcefulness, and my favorite some good old DIY.
Beyond the Studio,
design continues to shape my life. At home, my husband and I are a true DIY duo: I bring the creative spark, and he brings the engineering mind that makes it all happen.
When I’m not designing, I’m usually on the move with our two daughters whether it’s soccer, horseback riding, or volleyball. We love skiing, camping, and traveling as a family, and I find my creative outlet in the pottery studio, where I’m happiest throwing on the wheel or hand-building with clay.
I hold myself to a high standard, which keeps me pushing for excellence in every project.
